Smart reconstruction
For the dates left empty, Giornata proposes explained hypotheses, each with the reason it exists. A proposal is not a fact: nothing is created until you confirm it yourself, at any level of confidence, and when what was planned and what was observed disagree it shows you both rather than choosing for you.

Place memory
Place memory is optional and off by default. It uses low-power location updates to remember meaningful stops and help you reconstruct days you never recorded. It is not real-time tracking, it is not proof of work, and you can pause it or erase it whenever you want. The places you save stay on your account; the history of your movements stays on your phone.
Passive location history never reaches Giornata’s servers.
Place memory is one of the Smart features in the Android app. It is optional, off by default and designed for low power use. It is not tracking: it does not continuously record your movements or reconstruct your routes. The passive history of where you stopped stays on the phone; only the places you choose to save can sync with your account. And Giornata does not record for you: it suggests, and a day counts when you confirm it.

Is Giornata a management tool for the service company?
No. It is the worker’s own professional memory: it is not there to hand out calls or organise somebody else’s crew.
Does it really work with no connection?
Yes. You record, confirm and correct a day with no network: it stays on the device and leaves on its own when the connection comes back. Only attaching the photo of a receipt needs the network at the moment you take it.
Can I record two jobs on the same day?
Yes. A travel day and a show are two true things about the same date: they stay two separate days, each with its own client and its own amount, and the month counts both.
What happens when I correct a day?
Nothing is overwritten. A correction creates a new version and the previous one stays reconstructible: a month you have already handed over keeps saying what it said.
